The Founding Of Hampden-Sydney College By American Patriots James Madison And Patrick Henry

In 1775, during the beginnings of the American Revolution and before Patrick Henry served as the first independent governor of Virginia, both James Madison and Patrick Henry became founding trustees to the Hampden-Sydney College. To date, the Hampden-Sydney College is the 10th oldest college within the United States of America.
