On January 5, 1933, construction began on the Golden Gate Bridge. In May 1937, after he Bridge was completed, various celebrations were held.

A crowd celebrates the opening of the Golden Gate Bridge on May 27, 1937.

On May 28, 1937, the Golden Gate Bridge became open to vehicular traffic.
