The S.S. Red Oak Victory

The S.S. Red Oak Victory was built at a Kaiser shipyard in Richmond, California and was named after the town of Red Oak, Iowa after several soldiers serving in that town died during World War II.

Currently, the S.S. Red Oak Victory is stationed in Oakland, California. The inside of the ship has a musuem with a history of the vessel.
