President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s Visit To Williamsburg, Virginia

In 1934, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt visited the newly reconstructed town Williamsburg, Virginia, after John D. Rockefeller financed the effort in 1926. FDR called the Duke of Gloucestor Street, “rightfully the most historic avenue in America”.
