Mission San Antonio De Padua

Mission San Antonio De Padua

Mission San Antonio de Padua, in present day, is the most remote and the least visited of the 22 California missions.

The mission was built near the mountain range that is near Big Sur coast.

The inside of the building hosts a museum and a retreat center.

Author’s Note:

This is the seventh of the 21 California missions Philip Hamilton has visited. The mission building falls along federal land within U.S. Army Fort Hunter Liggett.
