The Colorado State Capital Building

The Colorado State Capital

The Colorado State Capital Building was constructed in the early 1890s and was open for public use in 1894. In 1908, Gold was added to the dome of the building to commentate the gold rush. The golden dome is similar to that of the Iowa and the Oregon State Capital buildings.

A statue of a Native American hunting a bison is within the gardens in the front side of the capital building.
