The Only Structure Remaining From Fort Collin’s Time Under Military Command

The “Auntie” Elizabeth Stone Cabin was constructed in 1864 and was utilized by Elizabeth and her husband whom worked at the dining hall of Fort Collins. “Auntie” Elizabeth was a woman suffragist who got to vote for her first time at the age of 93 in 1894. The “Auntie” Elizabeth Cabin is the last remaining building from the time that Fort Collins was under the command of the U.S. Army.
