The Tower Station Diner Singer Elvis Presley Visited Before A Performance in Northern Texas

The Tower Station in Shamrock, Texas is one of the sites in that town that Elvis Presley had visited during his stay at the nearby Route 66 Inn (formerly known as the Sun n’ Sand Motel). The Tower Station had been designed by J. C. Berry, who was inspired by the image of a nail standing in soil.

The Texas Route 66 Festival is held at the city annually and honors Elvis’s legacy in the state.
