King Henry III waited Over 100 Days To Respond To The Declaration Of Independence

When Thomas Jefferson helped draft the “Declaration Of Independence” I’m sure he did not expect King George III to wait over 100 days to respond to it, but he did because the war was not going well for the British. It was not until after Great Britain exacted a victory against George Washington’s Continental army in the Battle Of Long Island, that King George decided to make a public speech at the English Parliament building on October 31, 1776.
