The Fallon House of San Jose

The Fallon house was built in 1854 and was the largest resident in the bar area at the time it was built. Fallon had married Castro whom owned thousands of acres of land in the bar area, including San Francisco. The Castro district in San Francisco is named after Mrs. Castro.

The Fallon House had an illustrated newspaper, published in 1863, with various sketches of the U.S. Civil War.
