The United Farm Workers March to Honor the 25th Anniversary Of César Chávez’s Death

On April 8, 2018 “The United Farm Workers” organized a march in Salinas, California, where a large population of farmers currently live, to honor the legacy of César Chávez and his passing in Arizona 25 years ago.

The United Farm Workers President Arturo S. Rodriguez spoke to the crowd about César Chávez’s many contributions to farmers, and the various issues farmers face in present day. Currently, the United Farm Workers Union is asking for employers to provide more paid breaks, especially during high temperature work days, and for sufficient hydration for all farm workers.
